The Lord-Lieutenant of West Sussex, Mrs Susan Pyper, has today announced the appointment of three people to serve as Deputy Lieutenants for the County of West Sussex, one being local Worthing businessman, Mr Peter Webb, MBE.

For the past 36 years, Mr Webb has owned and run Electronic Temperature Instruments Ltd, a £15m turnover business, producing affordable electronic thermometers and temperature probes.   The company employs 190 people across the area with 3 factories in Worthing.   An award winning company, ETI has received 4 Queen’s Awards, for Enterprise in the Overseas trade and innovation categories.

An active member of the local business community, Peter Webb is a Director on the Adur & Worthing Business Partnership, as well as the Worthing & Adur Chamber of Commerce. Peter champions local business as well as working with young people across the area, to promote careers and employability skills.

Peter will share the role alongside Mrs Julia Aisbitt, a Magistrate Chair from Mid Sussex and Mr Hugh Bonneville, an actor, best known for his leading role in Downton Abbey.
