Business Navigator Growth Hub

Free business support for businesses wanting to grow!

The Coast to Capital Growth Hub supports businesses in the area to achieve their growth ambitions through the provision of direct support and signposting services, completely free at point of use.

Since its launch the Coast to Capital Growth Hub has supported thousands of businesses.

The support includes:

  • dedicated Account Managers who will assess the needs of your business and introduce you to local, regional and national support initiatives to help you grow.
  • access to free diagnostic business reviews, resulting in impact-driven hands-on support to overcome organisational barriers.
  • providing a bespoke website full of relevant resources, events and opportunities for your business.

Adur & Worthing Councils

Adur & Worthing Councils work closely with businesses on a range of issues. These include business rates, council property and licensing through to environmental health, planning and waste. The Councils also works in partnership with organisations to develop projects which benefit local business and residents. Adur & Worthing Councils are also responsible for writing the local area Economic Plan, written in conjunction with neighbouring Councils to provide clear direction for the area.

Worthing & Adur Chamber of Commerce

Worthing & Adur Chamber of Commerce is the local chamber, of a UK wide powerful and influential network of trusted champions of business, place and global trade. The Chamber provides a voice for the business community, amplifying priorities and concerns. The Chamber exists to support and connect companies, bringing together firms to build new relationships, share best practice and foster new opportunities. Through practical support they also provide mentoring and training.

Business West Sussex

Business West Sussex is an arm of West Sussex County Council. Along with partners, Business West Sussex provides a broad range of business information, advice and support. Information can be found on local business networks and grants as well as essential information for doing business in the county. An overview can also be found on business rates and Trading Standards.

Federation of Small Businesses

As experts in business, the Federation of Small Business offers members a wide range of vital business services including advice, financial expertise, support and a powerful voice in government. The Federation of Small Business aims to help smaller businesses achieve their ambitions.

Adur and Worthing are ideally placed for business, benefiting from close proximity to Gatwick Airport and Shoreham Port. We are proud of our successes so far including:

  • Business Survival rates over 5yrs are impressive with a higher survival rate than that of the South East Region
  • Worthing’s largest business sector is Professional, Scientific and Technical, followed by construction and Information and Communications. Worthing’s knowledge economy is showing reasonably strong growth
  • Worthing has relatively high percentages of retail, accommodation & food, health, arts & entertainment businesses
